That’s right. GM will now be OM or Obama Motors.

And Chrysler is honoring the messiah also. They will now be AntiChrystler.

Patriotism = Suspicious Activity?

I’m a simple guy with simple ideas. I love the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Next to the Bible, I think these are the two greatest documents ever penned.

I am pro-immigration, but anti-illegal immigration. The way I see it, if I have to produce two forms of documentation to get a job and children must have social security numbers so the government can track them, there is no reason why the government cannot enforce the laws it has in place regarding the millions of illegal aliens invading these United States.

I am anti-abortion, but believe it is an issue for states to decide, not the federal government. I view abortion as murder. Just as every state has the power to decide its legal statutes regarding murder and the penalties and prosecutions of such, so should they have the right to determine the legality of abortion.

I am anti-gay-marriage, but believe federal acts like the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and any constitutional amendment prohibiting marriage among homosexual couples are, by virtue, unconstitutional. Nowhere in the Constitution does the federal government have the power to force states to recognize or disavow gay couplings. This right is reserved to each state. The people of various states and regions know what is best for their populace. Let the people decide. The courts, whether at a state or federal level, should not legislate from the bench.

I do not advocate violence against anyone–especially not against the government.

That last line is the true purpose of this post. For some reason, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has decided it likes this site. DHS has been here more than a dozen times this month. On top of that, while looking through my logs, I noticed someone else has averaged several visits per day. RiverGlassInc.com. When I looked up RiverGlass Inc, I found some interesting information. They have a contract with the DHS. According to  SecurityInfoWatch.com:

Start-up Company for Homeland Security Software Gains Spotlight

RiverGlass software used to analyze threats in real-time, parse useful threat data

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Amidst corporate heavyweights in the Illini Union,
was a table for a less known enterprise, RiverGlass Inc., a company
that traces its origins to the University of Illinois.

Part of the first of the two-day Winter 2006 Business Career Fair, the
company specializes in the creation of homeland security software, in
addition to other products that deal with intelligence gathering.

So, this makes me wonder. Shouldn’t these people be monitoring terrorists instead of Constitutionalists? At what point in time did supporting the Constitution become a crime or cause for someone to land on a watch list?

Something is severely wrong when the law of the land becomes odious to the rulers, when patriotism is considered suspicious activity, and when the government feels it has a right and a need to spy on citizens to protect itself from a redress of grievances.

I would be interested in hearing from other conservative bloggers. Is RiverGlass Inc. following you, too?

Chains we can believe in

Marie Antoinette had “Let them eat cake.”

King Obama has “Chains you can believe in.”

For all King Obama rails against short-sighted CEOs and shareholders who sought quick profits, remarkably, he does the same exact thing. His stimulation of the economy is nothing more than a massaging of our pockets to work the wallets out without us feeling it. But, like a magician uses sleight-of-hand, so too does our ferocious king (who according to some reports pulled a sword from a stone after he resurrected himself).

As one hand massages our backsides, some of us coo and purr, enjoying the petting. Others of us focus on the wallet mysteriously rising out of the pocket. And while we concentrate on these things, Magical King Obama’s other hand slips the bonds of slavery around our ankles. The King’s loyal subjects will point out he is no fool. He is an Ivy League educated prince. So, one must conclude the King is not a floundering dimwit trying to dig his way out of the ocean with a pitchfork. Instead, he is a cunning and calculating idealogue. Like the CEOs and capitalists he despises, King Obama works for a quick profit. His dividends will come in the form of political purchase power and personal credit. Just as the most abominable CEOs burdened their successors with cooked books and faltering corporations, so too King Obama burdens future generations to reap his bonuses.

There is one major difference between King Obama and the bad CEOs. Men like Bernie Madoff bilked millions out of willing participants. King Obama uses a gun and a prison to force everyone to invest in his ridiculous Ponzi schemes. Yes, these are Ponzi schemes. Here’s a quick definition:

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to investors from their own money or money paid by subsequent investors rather than from any actual profit earned.

Forcing 100 million working families to invest in Government Motors (GM) would be bad enough. But King Obama’s plans so far have been more diabolical. He must first print the money and further indenture America to foreign powers. King Obama’s royal jesters, the UAW and other unions, profit while he garners the “returns” from “subesequent investors” (or in this case future taxpayers–the youth of today).

There are only two options facing Americans today. We can let some corporations fail or we can watch America fail. There is no middle ground here. By laboring to satisfy his Marxist friends, Obama is like a surgeon who injects cyanide into a patient so the man on the table will not feel when the good doctor removes the ingrown toenail. In my estimation, Obama’s cure is worse than the malady. The only thing worse than his working to enslave us is the enslaving of future generations through debt. An entire generation of under18′s and countless generations of unborns are being taxed without representation.

Letter to my senator on HR627 (Credit Card Bill of Rights)

Dear Senator Sessions,

I am a registered Republican, but consider myself a conservative first. I voted for you and had every intention of voting for you again. I would even support a presidential bid should you decide to run, but I write not to praise you at this moment. Instead, I write to express my dismay and contempt for your recent vote on HR627.

The negative impacts of a bill like this on the majority of credit card holders is self evident. The primary goal of such a measure is wealth redistribution by forcing the responsible people to cover the costs of the irresponsible.

With Allgeyer v Louisiana (1897), the Supreme Court agreed the right of contract is an inviolable right of a free people. While the enumeration of powers gives Congress the ability to make interstate trade regular, it does not place credit cards within the purview of the federal government. Passage of this bill is one more encroachment of the federal government upon the rights of the sovereign citizens.

I understand a “nay” may have been politicized as a vote against the poor, but a continual degradation or erosion of our rights for political expediency or to succor the irresponsible does not help anyone. As a great mind once said, “those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” If we continue to bailout states, corporations, and individuals based upon their poor decisions, there is no incentive for them to learn from their mistakes. Rather, they will continue to abide by the failing logic that got them where they currently reside, secure in the knowledge the bloated federal government will come along and bail them out again.

You swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. Your recent vote is an assault on that great document and an insult to We, the People. It violates the principles of federalism in favor of a national government that can infringe upon the rights of man at any time. Until this moment, I have been very proud to call you a representative of the great state of Alabama, but I confess at present that I am exceedingly disappointed.

As an average citizen, I doubt my words carry much weight with you. I suspect this correspondence will receive a cursory glimpse from an intern and elicit a form letter in response, perhaps even with a request for donations. I hope my cynicism is unwarranted. I further hope you will keep this letter in mind for the duration of your term representing the sovereign citizens of Alabama.

Obama’s Hidden October Agenda

This sounds accurate. Poor children.

Why is it that in Obamanomics the ruling class (government) and their stooges (GE, unions, movie stars, and the media) get to keep whatever they have and the non-ruling class are called to sacrifice?

Shouldn’t reason dictate before Obama and his socialist buddies demand everything from everyone else, they set an example and surrender everything they have first?
