TEA Parties, please read and pass it on

In a few short days, I’ll be attending a tea party near my home town here in Alabama. When I got wind of it a few weeks ago and heard they were looking for speakers, I decided to e-mail the person and volunteer to speak. There was a caveat to their request for volunteers: Prefer politicians and people running for office.

I shot a quick e-mail to the person that was listed as the coordinator. I told him, I’m no politician, but I’m fiery mad. I asked him to contact me if he was still looking for speakers. He never did. Over the next couple of days, as I waited for a response, I thought about what I’d say.

Politicians should not be speaking at TEA parties. I don’t care if there is a -D, -R, or -I after the person’s name. These are not intended to be an opportunity for a politician to stand there and tell us what they think we want to hear. That’s a bit like cornering the fox in the hen house and then listening to him tell you about the importance of guarding your chickens. Politicians are the reason we need TEA parties. Politicians are the ones who got us into this mess.

Perhaps you are saying, “Not my guy. He’s always . . .”
I say, “Yes, you’re guy!”

Your guy, my gal, your neighbor’s guy–every single one of them has been complicit in this usurpation of powers and rights from the People. For forty-plus years, we’ve sat back and allowed these hooligans in Armanis and Brooks Brothers to pervert the Constitution into something unrecognizable. With no disrespect intended, our politicians are like Michael Jackson’s doctors. They’ve bleached the ink from the parchment and redrawn the lines that gave our government shape and depth. With intensive surgeries, they have given our government a face that looks nothing like the one it started with. 

There is never a right reason for doing the wrong thing. Intentions don’t mean diddly squat. The politician who gives an inch on an unconstitutional law so he can have a victory on his bill is as bad as the devil who drafted that unconstitutional law. Let us take an obvious example: hate crimes. I’m sure a lot of the devils who fight for this legislation have their heart in the right place, but it is simply wrong to have the government declare one person is worth more than another. I don’t care if I am in that special protected class or not.

What are hate crimes laws but the legislation against unpopular thought? Prior to the Civil Rights Movement, we had a similar institution. The only difference was the protected group. Blacks who raped or murdered whites were given harsher punishment for daring to cross social lines and prey upon the protected class. Today, most openly admit that system was racist. So what have our politicians done? They’ve said, “Okay, whites are no longer a protected class. Instead, we’ll give special preference to blacks, Asians, gays, and a host of other minority groups and we’ll punish one group with more zeal than the other.” They have re-instituted racism and rebranded it with a happier-looking face.

The politician’s remedy was as bad as the disease it intended to cure. We traded terminal lung cancer for a case of terminal brain cancer.

But this is not about governmentally institutionalized racism. It is about the government being the problem. As such, it cannot also be the solution. It’s akin to suggesting the appropriate answer to the question 2+2= is 2+2.

Senators, Congressmen and women, state politicians, have all shirked their first responsibility: protecting the Constitution–and thereby our Liberty. They have “played the game.” They have learned to make back room deals. They have been practitioners of quid pro quo, where quid was our rights and quo was something we thought we wanted. Their abject silence on unconstitutional power grabs and laws has made them a part of the problem, much the way a witness who refused to testify against a klansman in the Sixties was just as equally guilty of the blight of racism as the murderous klansman.

If your guy (or gal) has been in office, he needs to sit down and listen. Politicians should be required to attend these parties, but forbidden from speaking. This is our time to speak. We’ve listened long enough. There is no sense in giving them a pulpit so they can deliver a great campaign speech. I don’t care what the fox has to say. It’s time for the farmer to confront the fox.

I’m about done with this government. Of the People, By the People, and For the People is no longer. While the vast majority of Americans speak out against things like TARP, the Stimulus Bill, and C(r)ap and Trade, the worthless sacks of parvo-infested dog doodoo like Nancy Pelosi, Henry Waxman, and and Mark Kirk, shove their fecal matter down our throats.

It is clear these evil and self-vaunting people are not there to represent We the People. They represent ACORN, SEIU, and UAW. They do not care how many Americans die or suffer because of their maoist plans. After all, the goal is not to save earth or America. These traitors have one purpose: Destroy Liberty!

When they have 90% of Americans sucking off the federal teat because they have put them out of business or out of healthcare, then they can rewrite the Constitution–yes, the one they just urinated on! At that point, these @#$% %&^$% %$^ sons of %$^%$! can enslave us with the socialism they so desire. While we starve to death, they will live like the dictators in Cuba, Venezuela, China, etc.

Is Racism & Bigotry Guiding Obama?

I’m not one to shy away from sensitive subjects, so reader beware.

Years ago, I read a great book entitled Discourse on Colonialism by Aimee Cesaire. In it, Cesaire said he used to be a communist, but he gave it up to become an independent revolutionary. I state this, only because I want you to understand where he stood on the issues.

As it was more than a decade ago, forgive me for not having specific quotes. It is the gist of the book that still sticks with me. Cesaire discussed WW2 in his book. According to him, the white world only cared about the holocaust because they saw the Jews as whites. Had they been black, no one would have said a thing. I agree with him in part and also disagree.

These days, America is quick to respond to white-on-black violence. Look at South Africa and Apartheid. And we respond when it is Christian-on-Muslim or Jewish-on-Muslim (think Clinton in Kosovo and Obama’s chastisement of Israel during his Cairo speech). Yet, for some reason, we remain silent when human rights violations are black-on-black, black-on-white (like Mugabe), or some other non-Anglo violence.

If Ahmadinejad happened to be Anglo and the majority of Iranians were black, I believe President Obama would be presidential in his treatment of Iran’s current human rights violations. He would speak out against the violence. He would push for sanctions, embargos, and possibly offer assistance in the overthrow of the white colonial government. Instead, we see our president quivering. We hear his knees knocking as he turns toward Mecca for his morning prayers.

President Obama bows to the Saudi king. He speaks in Cairo, making mental love to the Mullahs and Muslims of the world. His narcissistic need to be loved by his enemies renders him impotent when attempting to represent Liberty. Iran is a delicate situation for sure, but our president eschews his duty to mankind and human rights not because of the fragile nature of the situation, but because of racism and bigotry.

This racism says the Iranians, who are Persian, do not deserve the same attention Nelson Mandela received from the United States. Add to that the bigotry of Islamic supremacy (we are, after all, one of the largest Muslim nations in the world), and he sees no need to counter the spiritual leaders of his forefathers.

It appears in the eyes of Obama, any human rights violation is acceptable as long as it isn’t a cracker, Christian, or Jew perpetrating the violence. Let the Ayatollah and Ahmadinejad murder innocent civilians. After all, it’s just a bunch of Persians killing one another, right? Let them throw peaceful protesters in prison for daring to seek freedom. After all, Islamofascists know what is best for the world, right?

“We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal . . .” That every person has the right to “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

This was not simply a declaration for the colonists, but for all mankind.

Iran and Iranians have a right to be free and we have a responsibility to apply pressure against any regime that wantonly murders innocent people. Who among us would cozy up to an unrepentant man who rapes and murders children, overlooking his transgressions and offering him friendship and hotdogs? I daresay none. So why does our president, who represents the American People and Liberty, overlook the transgressions of the wicked men in Iran?
