In the America I grew up in . . .

In the America I grew up in, only two types of people had to fear the government: criminals and the nut jobs trying to overthrow the Constitution and replace it with some form of dictatorship.

Now, the nut jobs are the government.

As I looked over my logs, I noticed RiverGlass Inc has stepped up its monitoring of yours truly. Last month, the company, which collects information for the government, visited about 12 times a day (363 visits). This month, they are averaging about the same so far.

On top of that, DHS has already visited my site a couple of times. The question is: why? Why are these people monitoring me? I have not and do not advocate the toppling of our government. I do not support terrorism. I am a vehement defender of the Constitution and human and civil rights. So, what are my crimes?

Before Janet Napolitano’s ridiculous memo found a home in our government, these people never visited. This leads me to believe my crimes must be “daring to advocate Constitutional governance.” Perhaps the fact I believe socialism is a ridiculous form of government is viewed as a threat to the administration. Or maybe it is the fact that I love freedom and believe what Madison and Jefferson bequeathed to us is worth keeping. I don’t know.

I’m curious who else they are following. Are they only following lovers of the Constitution now? Or are they equally targeting and monitoring small-time lefties as well?

All I can say with certainty is I long for the good ol’ days when patriots were portrayed as the men in white hats and the criminals in the government, their corrupt allies, and the “Machine” behind them were the evil-doers. Now, it appears the opposite is true. If you love your country, you are a wicked human. Only when you swear allegiance to a man and his perverted ideas can you be considered “good.”

Something is wrong, seriously wrong here.
